Capability Statement

Recent Projects

Health Safety and Environment Manager for Leighton Contractors as of the Solomon Project. Risk management rather than compliance was the principal driver for the program. This role oversaw the provision of emergency response services, on site medical services, health and wellbeing program, injury management, and safety and environment for the project. This required a strategic risk management approach, and an applied approach to actively engage with the many and varied issues of a remote 24/7 on-site operation.

Safety, Health and Security Manager of the $2.03 billion Southern Seawater Alliance desalination project. This was the largest water infrastructure project in the State’s history which will supply 40 per cent of Perth’s water supply. Amanda was responsible for setting policy and leading safety, health, injury management, workers’ compensation and security management across the project. Again project and safety risk management was the mainstay of the project, which through its two phases achieved in excess of four million hours worked lost time injury free, and industrial relations incident free. This achievement was possible only with a vibrant, dynamic team focused on risk, safety, health and injury management, and recognising that people and their wellbeing are a performance measure of a highly successful project.
